Amarantha Armchair

A creative and design studio formed by Alan Mantovani and Fernando Said, Traço works at the boundary between designing furniture and curating it: beyond the pieces it signs, it looks after how a set of pieces works together within a single space.

The method starts where they themselves say everything starts — a piece of paper. From sketch to finished piece, their repertoire spans upholstery and goes beyond it: armchairs with enveloping curves and generously shaped sofas sit alongside side tables in Roman travertine and sideboards in which marble fits into wood. It is a vocabulary of noble materials resolved in precise lines, where luxury comes through simplicity rather than excess.

For Combinare, they designed the Atlas, Serra and Amarantha armchairs.
